Sandy and James Easdale join as Founding Patrons
We’re happy to welcome Sandy and James Easdale as Founding Patrons to Cancer Awareness Trust.
James and Sandy Easdale are prominent Scottish entrepreneurs and philanthropists with deep roots in business, property development and community investment. Owners of McGill’s Buses, the leading independent bus operator in the UK and active investors in large-scale property developments across Scotland and beyond, the Easdales have built a reputation for bold, impactful ventures. As philanthropists, they are committed to supporting transformative initiatives that drive real change and improve lives across the UK.
As Founding Patrons of Cancer Awareness Trust, Sandy and James Easdale are supporting CAT’s fundraising efforts to launch Cancer Platform. They bring their extensive expertise as successful business leaders, as well as their own lived experience of cancer within the family.
Sandy Easdale comments: “We have become supporters of Professor Sir Chris Evans (Founder of Cancer Awareness Trust) and his work. Our beloved mother Christina died from cancer 10 years ago, and we miss her every day.”
James Easdale comments: “We know only too well the direct impact cancer has on families. If we can help Sir Chris and Cancer Awareness Trust to change the course of this disease, then you can count us in.”
Prof. Sir Chris Evans, Founder of Cancer Awareness Trust, comments: “I am delighted to welcome the Easdale family as the latest Founding Patrons of Cancer Awareness Trust. They are serious investors in both new cancer diagnostics and cancer drugs, so they know the importance of what our pioneering Cancer Platform will be able to offer people affected by cancer. With their excellent support, we’ll get there quicker”.
