Victoria Oyston
Victoria Oyston and her family have been deeply rooted in the British car industry for many decades, and she is currently involved in commercial construction. Running parallel to this, Victoria is a land steward, entrepreneur, and director focused on environmental sustainability, having spent over 30 years developing a sporting and farming estate in the Trough of Bowland.
Through her leadership of multiple businesses, from renewable energy to creative retreats, she brings a unique perspective on the well-being benefits of the countryside, community, and an active lifestyle.
Victoria is committed to supporting Cancer Awareness Trust in growing its community of supporters, and help us in empowering individuals to change the course of cancer.
Victoria comments: “My relationship with cancer is best summed up through the words of Joni Mitchell in her song ‘Both Sides Now’, having lost those dearest to me after courageous fights with cancer and more recently enduring the diagnosis and treatment myself. Cancer not only affects the person diagnosed but has a ripple or rather Tsunami effect on those closest, which extends many years on. When Sir Chris first explained to me of his plans for the Cancer Platform, I was deeply moved and can clearly see what a difference this resource would make to so many as they navigate through these life changing moments.
Through the ups and downs, music is the background to my life. Being able to support the events hosted by the fantastic team at Evamore is simply a thrill. I hope in my own small way to be of benefit to the truly inspiring project that is Cancer Platform”
